Key findings

 

  • Global Hiring Outlook remains stable for Q4 2023 with an average of +30%. With +38%, Switzerland positions itself above the global average and  among the top 3 countries with the strongest Employment Outlook. 

  •  Year-on-year, the Swiss Net Employment Outlook shows an increase of 18 percentage points. Compared to last quarter, it has increased by 11 percentage points. Thus, hiring expectations are the highest since the survey was introduced in 2005.

  •  Businesses in the Communication services (66%), Transport, logistics and automotive (62%) and Energy and utilities (53%) report the brightest Outlooks.

Every quarter, the ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook Survey determines companies' forecasts for staffing levels in the coming quarter. Internationally, ManpowerGroup surveys approximately 40000 employers in 40 countries. In Switzerland, the national survey is conducted by Right Management Consultants. More than 500 employers from various industries were surveyed.
