Key Findings



  • The Net Employment Outlook (NEO) shows a significant decline of 7 points compared to last year, reaching the lowest level recorded in Switzerland since 2021. This negative trend may be driven by economic uncertainty, weak global demand, the acceleration of automation, and an increased corporate focus on productivity.

  • 72% of Swiss companies report positive ROI from the use of AI. The top three areas where AI creates value are team performance (19%), scheduling or forecasting (19%), and learning & development (15%), based on a sample of 581 respondents.

  • 92% of Swiss companies identify barriers to AI adoption, with the number-one challenge being privacy and regulatory concerns.

  • According to Swiss companies, the skills that have already been augmented — or are likely to be augmented — by AI include problem‑solving (66%), teaching and training (65%), and technical expertise (62%), based on a sample of 544 respondents.

Internationally, ManpowerGroup surveys approximately 42 000 employers in 42 countries. In Switzerland, the national survey is conducted by Right Management Consultants. More than 500 employers from various industries were surveyed.
